Hello, my name is SILVIA LÓPEZ and I am Spanish, from Madrid. The year before starting university I went to the USA as a foreign exchange student and it was thanks to this experience that I decided to study Translation and Interpretation.
I have worked as a translator and also in international business. I have always used languages and enjoy deepening my understanding of cross cultural experiences .Travelling has increased my adaptability to life and I feel has made me a more flexible person and more open to new experiences.
I’ve lived in Cork with my husband and two children for five years and it is precisely at their school where Teresa and I met and the idea of setting up Hola Students! was born.
From this wonderful personal experience I dare say I recommend Cork as the ideal place to learn English.
CEO & FOUNDER
Hello, my name is TERESA HARTE. I live in Cork, Ireland where I grew up. I did leave for a few years to study and work in London in Mental Health Nursing. I enjoyed the easy, affordable connections from London to many places, and I took the opportunity to travel often.
Eventually my heart led me back to Cork, and I married. I now live on a farm with lots of cows and trees. I am a mother to three children and I have hosted students on the family farm from Austria, France, Spain, Sweden and Germany. I love hearing about other lives, families and food cultures. I met Silvia my business partner at the school gate.
